Carnahan Cup

A tradition associated with each year's conference is the annual Carnahan Cup Golf Championship. Golfers from among the Conference attendees play on some of the world's most beautiful and famous courses, each vying for the coveted Carnahan Cup.

This event will take place on Monday October 23 and will be fully organized this year by the Executive Committee Member, Mr. Alfonso Bilbao. In this occasion, the golf course will be at "El Encin" (http://encin.golf/), located in Alcalá de Henares (where Cervantes was born), 25 km from Weare Chamartin hotel. We will collect players at the hotel on Monday 23 at 8:00. The tournament will start at 9:30 am, with lunch at the clubhouse at 2:30 p.m.

El Encin has the possibility to rent clubs and bogeys. We will confirm as soon as possible the prices agreed with El Encin.

Welcome Reception

• The welcome Reception will take place on Monday October 23 at 19:30 in Salon/Hall Barcelona at WeAre Chamartin Hotel, just over Chamartin station (both Cercanias and subway pass through).

Guided Visit: Madrid Downtown walking tour

• The guided visit will start on Wednesday October 25 at 18:30 in "Puerta del Sol", right beside the "El Oso y el Madroño" statue (a statue of a bear and a tree as can be seen in the picture). It is in Sol station (both Cercanias and subway pass through).

• The group will be splited in two to perform the tour. The next map shows the route of the guided visit:

Banquet dinner and Flamenco Show

• The Banquet dinner and Flamenco show will take place on Wednesday October 25 at 20:30 in Casa Patas restaurant, it is allocated in Calle Cañizares, 10.
  The following interactive map shows the route of about 8 minutes walk from Sol Cercanias/subway train station to Casa Patas.

• The Flamenco show will start after the dinner (22:30) and will finish about 23:45. By the time the Flamenco show finishes, the best way to go back is the subway, it is safe and open until 2:00 am. The nearest subway station is "Anton Martín" connected with Sol, Chamartin an Atocha stations.
  Another option could be to call a taxi, the prices are around 20-30 Euro for going to the most of the hotels.
